utter nonsense
Ah, blogging. How I have become a culprit of my own mockery. I write to you tonight (to the few that actually may stumble upon this place) from the cozy, red flannel sheets upon my bed of sin. There is kind of a romantic ambiance in here tonight, actually. Burning incense, a few scented candles, and a quiet playlist to lull my dazedness into an even more zombie-like state of mind. It's just me and angry little Alfred Hitchcock tonight. He's kind of cute... for a fish. The pomegranate green tea is all gone, so I made chai instead. I've been caught snoozing between shifts at work this week, and hovering over the counter eating pickles out of the jar with a fork to sneak in a quick meal. 'What are you doing?' seems to be the most obvious question; 'Eating dinner...' has proven to be the most common answer. I'm tired. Are you tired? Inside The Metal Heart
Baroness will be hitting the road and headlining a few dates with fellow metal purveyors Genghis Tron opening. These dates could be seen as warmups before they meet up with Opeth in California to work on the second leg of the Gothenburg group's Watershed tour. Seattle will be seeing this fantastic Georgia-based psych/prog metal band on October 3rd at Studio Seven. For a while there, I thought they were going to be skipping this burg. On refugees: Some have come, but not a lot, and many of those who have come home have not returned to their old neighborhoods.
